How To Make Persimmon Bread
This persimmon bread is studded with crunchy walnuts and juicy raisins. Making them the perfect filling afternoon snacks.

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3 tbsp butter melted
- 2 cups persimmon pulp
- 1 cup dates chopped
- 1 cup nuts chopped, optional
- 1 cup chocolate chips optional but recommended
Instructions
- Combine the sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, then whisk together.
- Add the eggs, milk, vanilla, butter, persimmon pulp, then mix until thoroughly combined.
- Fold in the dates, nuts, and chocolate chips.
- If baking in a large loaf pan or bundt pan, bake at 325 degrees F for 1½ hours.
- If using smaller loaf pans, bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour. Check the middle of the bread with a toothpick at 50 minutes. If the toothpick comes out clean, the bread is done.
- Slice, serve, and enjoy!
